- a first, multi-element, probe comprising a plurality of sensing elements and adapted for mounting on a first side of the region;
a second probe, including one or more sensing elements, adapted for mounting on a surface of the subject; and
a controller which generates at least one impedance image, including a plurality of pixels, based on signals sensed by at least some of the sensing elements of the first probe and at least one of the one or more sensing elements of the second probe.

identifying an anomaly on the at least one impedance map; and

38. A method of impedance imaging of a body region of a subject, comprising:

positioning a first multi-element probe, comprising a first plurality of elements, on one side of the region;
positioning a second multi-element probe, comprising a second plurality of elements, on a second side of the region;
electrifying a first group, including a first number, of elements of the first or second probe;
sensing signals induced in the region responsive to the electrified elements of the first group, from a second group of elements of the first or second probe, wherein the second group includes a second number of elements greater than the first number; and

electrifying a third group, including a third number, of elements of the first or second probe, at least one of the elements of the third group not being included in the first group;

generating an additional impedance map responsive to signals sensed by the fourth group of elements of the first or second probe.

44. A method of impedance imaging of a region, comprising:

positioning a multi-element probe, comprising a plurality of sensing elements, on one side of the region;
providing electrifying signals to the region from one or more first locations;
measuring first signals at at least some of the elements of the multi-element probe responsive to the signals from the one or more first locations;
generating a first image of the region responsive to the measured first signals;
providing electrifying signals to the region from one or more second locations different from the first locations;
measuring second signals at at least some of the elements of the multi-element probe responsive to the signal from the one or more second locations; and
generating a second image of the region responsive to the measured second signals, wherein the first and second images are generated while the multi-element probe is in substantially the same position. - View Dependent Claims (45, 46, 47, 48)

a first multi-element probe, comprising a plurality of sensing elements, for positioning on one side of the region;
