A metal pipeline for use in an automobile having a metal tube with a protective coating layer, said protective coating layer consisting of a nickel plating layer formed on both an outer and an inner circumferential surface of the metal tube, a zinc-nickel alloy plating layer formed on the nickel plating layer, a chromate layer formed on the zinc-nickel alloy plating layer, and a single extrusion molded thermoplastic resin coating layer formed on the chromate layer, wherein said single thermoplastic resin layer comprises a thermoplastic synthetic resin selected from the group consisting of polypropylene and polyethylene and has a thickness of from 0.8 to 2.0 mm and wherein said nickel plating layer has a thickness of 0.2 to 10 μ
