A soybean variety designated 92B56, the plants and seeds of soybean variety 92B56, methods for producing a soybean plant produced by crossing the variety 92B56 with itself or with another soybean plant, and hybrid soybean seeds and plants produced by crossing the variety 92B56 with another soybean line or plant, and the creation of variants by mutagenesis or transformation of variety 92B56. This invention also relates to methods for producing other soybean varieties or breeding lines derived from soybean variety 92B56 and to soybean varieties or breeding lines produced by those methods.

38. A method for producing a soybean variety 92B56-derived soybean plant, comprising:
-
(a) crossing soybean variety 92B56, representative seed of said soybean variety 92B56 having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-3565 with a second soybean plant to yield progeny soybean seed; and
(b) growing said progeny soybean seed, under plant growth conditions, to yield said soybean variety 92B56-derived soybean plant. - View Dependent Claims (39, 40, 41)
(a) crossing said soybean variety 92B56-derived soybean plant with itself or another soybean plant to yield additional soybean variety 92B56-derived progeny soybean seed;
(b) growing said progeny soybean seed of step (a) under plant growth conditions, to yield additional soybean variety 92B56-derived soybean plants; and
(c) repeating the crossing and growing steps of (a) and (b) from 0 to 7 times to generate further soybean variety 92B56-derived soybean plants.
