24. A method of assisting an incontinent person in achieving a contraction of his/her sphincter muscle, the method comprising the following steps:

a) identifying a specified electrical activity in a muscle associated with a body cavity of the incontinent person, the electrical activity relating to an impending elimination of bodily waste, b) monitoring the electrical activity of the muscle, c) determining whether the specified electrical activity has occurred; and
