An intrusion detector having a housing, an infrared sensor, a detector window formed in the housing for the passage of infrared radiation from an external space to the infrared sensor, an element for focusing infrared radiation onto the infrared sensor and a sabotage surveillance device comprising:

  • an infrared transmitter;

    and an infrared receiver, the infrared transmitter and the infrared receiver being located inside the housing and the infrared transmitter is directed toward the window such that at least a portion of infrared radiation transmitted by said transmitter is reflected by said window onto said receiver.
