1. A method for stabilizing a feedback-controlled amplifier, comprising:

  • (a) providing a controllable stabilizing network having terminals and having;

    at least a control terminal, and means for changing impedance value between the terminals in response to a signal applied to the control terminal, (b) inserting the network between at least two locations in the circuitry of the amplifier for affecting the open-loop gain of the amplifier in response to the changing impedance value of the network, and (c) applying an unstable signal to the control terminal for changing the impedance value of the network, whereby feedback instabilities of the amplifier will be reduced by designing the value of the impedance into a stabilization relationship with the unstable signal.
