Abstract

A system of advertising has a source of advertising information adapted to transmit advertising informations of different contents substantially corresponding to objects to be advertised situated in different advertising zones and formed as a server unit, a plurality of moving vehicles, each of the vehicles being provided with a receiver for receiving the advertising informations of different contents, each of the vehicles being provided with further unit for receiving a signal which does not contain advertising information, each of the vehicles being provided with vehicle location determination allowing unit adapted to allow determination of a location of a respective one of the vehicles, each of the vehicles being provided with a display for displaying advertising information, and the server unit determining a zone in which the vehicle is located and transmitting to the further receiving unit of the vehicle the signal which does not contain advertising information to select in a vehicle and display on the display a corresponding advertising information with a content which corresponds to the determined zone.

Claims

1. A system of advertising, comprising a source of advertising information adapted to transmit advertising informations of different contents substantially corresponding to objects to be advertised situated in different advertising zones and formed as a server means;

a plurality of moving vehicles, each of said vehicles being provided with a receiver for receiving the advertising informations of different contents each of said vehicles being provided with further means for receiving a signal which does not contain advertising information, each of said vehicles being provided with vehicle location determination allowing means adapted to allow determination of a location of a respective one of said vehicles, each of said vehicles being provided with a display for displaying advertising information, and said server means being formed so as to determine a zone in which the vehicle is located and to transmit to said further receiving means of the vehicle said signal which does not contain advertising information without transmitting the advertising information, while said receiver in each of said vehicles is formed so as to provide selection in a vehicle, based on said signal, and to display on said display an advertising information corresponding to said signal with a content which thereby corresponds to the determined zone.

2. A system as defined in claim 1, wherein said location determination allowing means is formed so as to cooperate with an external system;

and further comprising additional location determining means operative for determining a distance at end directions covered by a respective one of said vehicles from a location determined with the help of the external system.

3. A system as defined in claim 2, wherein said location determination allowing means is means which operate exclusively in a corresponding vehicle and do not interact with an external system.

A system as defined in claim 3, wherein said additional means include a sensor selected from the group consisting of a speed sensor and an acceleration sensor and a compass provided in each of the vehicles and operative for determination a covered distance and a direction of a respective one of said vehicles from the location determined with the help of the external system.

A system as defined in claim 3, wherein said location determination allowing means includes first means provided on each of the vehicles and second means provided on an object located in an advertising zone, so that when a vehicle passes through said advertising zone and said first and second means interact with one another, said server means send said signal to select and display on the vehicle a corresponding advertising information.

6. A system as defined in claim 1, wherein each of said vehicles is provided with means for determining time, and means for displaying an advertising information which can not be displayed at the determined time.

7. A system as defined in claim 1, wherein said server means also supply information to said vehicles related to news, said selecting means selecting news with a content which corresponds to the determined zone.

8. A system as defined in claim 1, wherein each of said displays is provided with means for adjusting brightness intensity in dependence on an ambient illumination.

9. A system as defined in claim 1, wherein each of said displays have screens provided on several sides of said display.

10. A system as defined in claim 9;

and further comprising means on each of said vehicles for displaying different advertising information on different ones of said screens.

11. A system as defined in claim 1;

and further comprising means for displaying on said display of each of said vehicles a changeable advertising information when a corresponding vehicle is movable or moves with a relatively low speed, while when the corresponding one of the vehicles moves with a higher speed a non-changeable information is displayed on said display.

12. A system as defined in claim 1;

and further comprising means for transmitting information as to what advertising information has been displayed by a respective one of said vehicles in a corresponding zone and a corresponding duration of time of displaying of said advertising information, so that efficiency of advertising can be evaluated.

13. A system as defined in claim 1;

and further comprising Internet-based means for transferring the advertising information from an advertiser to said source.

14. A system as defined in claim 1;

and further comprising external network means cooperating with said location determination allowing means so as to determine the location of the vehicle and to transmit data about the location of the vehicle to said server means.
