1. A seat belt pretensioner device, comprising:

  • a fixed base unit defining an arcuate elongated chamber centered around a pivot center;

    an arm rotatably supported by said fixed base unit so as to be rotatable around said pivot center, said arm including a free end attached to a seat belt buckle, and a projection slidably received in said elongated chamber;

    a power generator adapted to produce a pressure by means of a combustion of a propellant provided at an end of said elongated chamber; and

    a bladder provided at an end of said power generator from which a gas is produced, said bladder designed to receive and contain said gas therein upon activation of said power generator so that said arm may be turned in a direction to pull said seat belt buckle and increase tension in a seat belt.
