Particulate fluorescent substance
First Claim
1. A fluorescent substance of a kind capable of emitting, in response to irradiation of exciting light, a fluorescent light of a wavelength different from that of the exciting light, characterized in that the average particle size of the fluorescent substance is smaller than the wavelength of the fluorescent light at the maximum intensity of such fluorescent light emitted by such fluorescent substance, and wherein the fluorescent substance is an organic metallic compound containing at least Nd as an optical active element.
