1. Line driver comprising:

  • at least one input and at least one output, said line driver being supplied with a power supply voltage from a power supply, and being arranged to amplify an input voltage to an output voltage, where the probability that the input voltage is within a predefined range is higher then the probability that the input voltage is outside said predefined range, wherein the line driver is arranged to use whole or part of the power supply voltage to generate the output voltage if the input voltage is within the predefined range, wherein the line driver further includes at least one capacitor, which is arranged to be loaded with at least one capacitor voltage, and wherein the line driver is arranged to use whole or part of the at least one capacitor voltage in addition to whole or part of the power supply voltage to generate the output voltage if the input voltage is outside the predefined range.
