1. An animal crate for housing and training an animal, comprising:

  • at least two generally parallel side panels;

    at least two generally parallel end panels, one end panel including an aperture and a door for sealing the aperture;

    a base removably attached to the bottom of the side panels and end panels;

    a top panel attached to the top of the side panels and end panels; and

    substantially the entire intersection between each panel. a plurality of integrally formed flexible edge pieces capable of manipulation having locking recesses formed along a length thereof, the locking recesses being configured for slidably receiving the end panels and side panels and forming intersections therebetween, and conduits unfigured to guide the end panels and side panels into the locking recesses;

    wherein the edge pieces are slidably positioned along substantially the entire intersection between each side panel with each end panel and each intersection of the top panel with each side panel or end panel, the edge pieces securing the side panels, end panels and top panel together along substantially the entire intersection between each panel.
