1. A method or maintaining healthy skin of a user of a liquid detergent during washing activities, the method comprising the steps of:

  • a. providing a liquid detergent that includes a polyethylene glycol ether of glycerin, an ethoxylated alcohol, and an alpha hydroxy acid, the polyethylene glycol ether of glycerin having the formula;

    embedded imagewherein a+b+c has an average value of from about 2 to about 60, and wherein R1, R2, and R3 may be the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of H, CH3, and C2H5;

    b. diluting the liquid detergent in water external to the liquid detergent; and

    c. using the liquid detergent and external water to wash the desired object, whereby the health of the user'"'"'s skin is maintained during the washing activity.
