Microfluidic devices and systems incorporating integrated optical elements
First Claim
1. A method for transmitting energy from or to at least one of two or more intersecting microscale channels disposed in a body structure of a microfluidic device comprising transmitting energy through an energy altering element located proximate to the at least one microscale channel in the body structure of the device, whereby at least a portion of said transmitted energy passing from or to the at least one microscale channel is transmitted through the energy altering element.
