Abstract

A drainage system for collecting, isolating and relocating moisture incorporating cascading chutes which collect moisture and create an inner channel from which collected moisture cannot escape to re-infiltrate surrounding soil prior to its discharge point.

Claims

1. A drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil comprising a plurality of concave chutes arranged in overlapping endwise arrangement;

each said concave chute having a leading end and a trailing end; and

each said concave chute having fall from said leading end to said trailing end with said trailing end positioned to be elevated above an overlapped leading end of an adjacent concave chute, wherein a gap is created between said trailing end and said overlapped leading end of said adjacent concave chute, through which moisture from ground soil collected at said leading end of said adjacent concave chute flows toward said trailing end of said adjacent concave chute.

2. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 1, further comprising a catch basin situated directly below said plurality of concave chutes.

3. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 1, further comprising a number of drain support diverters.

4. A drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil comprising a plurality of concave chutes arranged in overlapping endwise arrangement;

each said concave chute having a leading end and a trailing end; and

each said concave chute having fall from said leading end to said trailing end with said trailing end positioned to be elevated above an overlapped leading end of an adjacent concave chute; and

a protective perforated pipe surrounding said plurality of concave chutes.

5. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 4, further comprising a catch basin situated directly below said plurality of concave chutes.

6. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 5 wherein said catch basin is attached to said concave chutes to maintain the elevation and fall of said chutes.

7. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 6, further comprising a number of drain support diverters.

The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 5, wherein said catch basin is formed with a number of oversized apertures through which moisture can percolate from below said catch basin which are located to facilitate collection of said moisture by said concave chutes.

9. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 8 wherein said catch basin is attached to said concave chutes to maintain the elevation and fall of said chutes.

10. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 5, further comprising a number of drain support diverters.

11. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 8, further comprising a number of drain support diverters.

12. The drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil as recited in claim 4, further comprising a number of drain support diverters.

13. A drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil comprising a plurality of concave chutes arranged in overlapping endwise arrangement;

each said concave chute having a leading end and a trailing end; and

each said concave chute having fall from said leading end to said trailing end with said trailing end positioned to be elevated above an overlapped leading end of an adjacent concave chute; and

a catch basin situated directly below said plurality of concave chutes;

wherein said catch basin is formed with a number of oversized apertures through which moisture can percolate from below said catch basin which are located to facilitate collection of said moisture by said concave chutes.

14. A drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil comprising a plurality of concave chutes arranged in overlapping endwise arrangement;

each said concave chute having a leading end and a trailing end; and

each said concave chute having fall from said leading end to said trailing end with said trailing end positioned to be elevated above an overlapped leading end of an adjacent concave chute; and

a catch basin situated directly below said plurality of concave chutes;

wherein said catch basin is attached to said concave chutes to maintain the elevation and fall of said chutes.

15. A drainage system for collecting and relocating moisture from ground soil comprising a plurality of concave chutes arranged in overlapping endwise arrangement;

each said concave chute having a leading end and a trailing end; and

each said concave chute having fall from said leading end to said trailing end with said trailing end positioned to be elevated above an overlapped leading end of an adjacent concave chute; and

a catch basin situated directly below said plurality of concave chutes;

wherein said catch basin is composed of a complementary right section and a complementary left section and wherein said concave chutes, said complementary right section, and said complementary left section are fabricated with integral interconnecting and opposing locking tabs and slots whereby a self sustaining structure is assembled without additional fasteners.
