1. A device for reducing electrical noise during the transfer of data from media having a plurality of electrically conductive signal elements, wherein inductive coupling occurs in adjacent conductive signal elements, said device comprising:

  • (a) a dielectric support member having two opposing sides;

    (b) a first data communication port disposed on the support member for interfacing with a first media;

    (c) a second data communication port disposed on the support member for interfacing with a second media;

    (d) a plurality of conductive members disposed on the support member for providing communication between the first and the second communication ports, wherein each conductive member of the plurality of conductive members is associated with only one signal element of the plurality of signal elements;

    (e) at least one first plurality of conductive strips disposed on a side of the support member and in communication with a first conductive member of the plurality of conductive members;

    (f) at least one second plurality of conductive strips disposed on a side of the support member and in communication with a second conductive member of the plurality of conductive members; and

    wherein the first and the second pluralities of conductive strips have a positional relationship such that a capacitance for compensating inductive coupling is formed.
