1. A stator of a rotary machine, comprising:

  • a rotor; and

    a stator having a stator iron core disposed around an outer circumference of said rotor and a stator coil fitted around said stator iron core, wherein said stator iron core has a laminated iron core with a plurality of axially extending slots formed at a predetermined pitch, an insulating resin is coated at least on an axial end face of said stator iron core and an inner wall face of a slot in said laminated iron core to provide insulation between said stator iron core and said stator coil, and said laminated iron core is formed in a cylindrical shape by bringing both circumferential end portions of said laminated iron core into contact with each other in such a way as to bend said laminated iron core so that an opening face of said slot may be directed inside, wherein a notch is provided on the inner wall face of said slot on the outer circumferential side of said stator iron core, and the insulating resin is coated thinner in said notch than any other portion of said inner wall face.
