Abstract

A fluorescent or luminous composition, comprising a multilayered film-coated powder having at least two coating films on a base particle, and a fluorescent or luminous substance; the composition, wherein at least one layer of the coating films contains the fluorescent or luminous substance; a genuine/counterfeit discrimination object, in which the fluorescent or luminous composition; and a genuine/counterfeit discrimination method, comprising recognizing fluorescence or luminescence by irradiating, with a light, the genuine/counterfeit discrimination object.

Claims

1. A fluorescent or luminous composition, comprising a multilayer film-coated powder having at least two coating films on a base particle, said at least one layer of the coating films containing a fluorescent or luminous substance, and wherein said multilayer film shows a light interference action.

2. The fluorescent or luminous composition according to claim 1, wherein the multilayered film shows a specific interference reflection peak or interference transmission bottom in a region besides the visible light region.

3. The fluorescent or luminous composition according to claim 1, wherein the base particle is a magnetic particle.

4. The fluorescent or luminous composition according to claim 1, which further contains a coloring agent.

5. A genuine/counterfeit discrimination object, in which the fluorescent or luminous composition according to any one of claims 1 to 4 is adhered or contained.

6. A method for discriminating genuine articles from counterfeit articles, which comprises irradiating an article with light and judging that the article is genuine by observing fluorescence or luminescence of the irradiated article, wherein said genuine articles comprise a multilayer film-coated powder having at least two coating films on a base particle, said at least one layer of the coating films containing a fluorescent or luminous substance.

7. The method according to claim 6, wherein said base particle comprises a magnetic material, and said method further comprises judging that the article is genuine based on interaction of the article with a magnetic field.

8. The method according to claim 6, wherein said base particle comprises a dielectric or conductive material, and said method further comprises judging that the article is genuine based on interaction of the article with an electric field.

9. The method according to claim 6, wherein said base particle comprises a magnetic material, and said method further comprises judging that the article is genuine based on interaction of the article with an electron beam.
