Flexible metal wire stent
First Claim
1. A stent comprised of a tube form body having a body wall structure of a geometric pattern of cells, the cells being substantially in the shape of a convex polygon, and defining a cell pattern as a plurality of spaced sections of interconnected cells defined by wire extending throughout the body, one or more of the plurality of adjacent spaced sections being defined by at least two rows of cells circumferentially distributed about the tube, adjacent spaced sections being connected to each other by at least one straight connector section of the wire, the at least one straight connector section having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is in direct contact with one of the adjacent spaced sections and the second end is in direct contact with one of the adjacent spaced sections and wherein the at least one straight connector section is substantially straight between the first end and the second end, at least one cell of each of the adjacent spaced sections being unconnected to the adjacent spaced section.
