First Claim
1. A liquid crystal display, comprising:
- a substrate comprising;
a plurality of gate lines;
a plurality of data lines intersecting said plurality of gate lines to define a plurality of pixel areas;
a plurality of driving signal interconnection line;
an insulating layer including a plurality of contact boles exposing the plurality of end portions of driving signal interconnection line;
an driving signal transmission film attached to said substrate and including;
a driving integrated circuit to receive the driving signals and sent to the plurality of gate lines or data lines; and
a plurality of first signal leads connected to one side portions on the plurality of driving signal interconnection lines through the plurality of contact holes, respectively; and
a signal transmission film attached to said substrate, and including a plurality of second signal leads connected to other side portions of the plurality of said driving signal interconnection lines through the plurality of contact holes, wherein at least one of the first signal leads and the second signal leads completely covers the corresponding contact hole at least in a longitudinal direction of the first signal leads and the second signal leads.

Abstract
A liquid crystal display includes an insulating substrate, gate and data lines formed on the substrate to define pixel areas, or collectively a display area. Gate signal interconnection wires are formed at a corner portion of the substrate outside the display area to transmit gate electrical signals, and provided with gate signal interconnection lines and first and second gate signal interconnection pads connected to both ends of the gate signal interconnection lines. A gate insulating layer, and a protective layer are further formed on the substrate, and provided with first and second contact holes exposing the first and second gate signal interconnection pads. Gate and data signal transmission films are attached to the substrate, and provided with first and second gate signal leads and first and second gate signal wires. The first and second gate signal leads are connected to the first and second gate signal interconnection pads through the first and second contact holes. The first or the second gate signal lead completely covers the first or the second contact hole at least in the longitudinal direction of the lead.

1. A liquid crystal display, comprising:

a substrate comprising;
a plurality of gate lines;
a plurality of data lines intersecting said plurality of gate lines to define a plurality of pixel areas;
a plurality of driving signal interconnection line;
an insulating layer including a plurality of contact boles exposing the plurality of end portions of driving signal interconnection line;
an driving signal transmission film attached to said substrate and including;
a driving integrated circuit to receive the driving signals and sent to the plurality of gate lines or data lines; and
a plurality of first signal leads connected to one side portions on the plurality of driving signal interconnection lines through the plurality of contact holes, respectively; and
a signal transmission film attached to said substrate, and including a plurality of second signal leads connected to other side portions of the plurality of said driving signal interconnection lines through the plurality of contact holes, wherein at least one of the first signal leads and the second signal leads completely covers the corresponding contact hole at least in a longitudinal direction of the first signal leads and the second signal leads. - View Dependent Claims (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
a plurality of pixel electrodes formed on the insulating layer;
a plurality of subsidiary signal interconnection pads formed between the end portions of the driving signal interconnection lines and the first signal leads or the second signal leads, on the same plane as the plurality of pixel electrodes, and covering the plurality of the contact holes.

3. The liquid crystal display of claim 1, wherein the insulating layer comprises a gate insulating layer covering the plurality of gate lines, and a protective layer covering the plurality of data lines over the gate insulating layer.

4. The liquid crystal display of claim 1, wherein the each of the first signal leads or the second signal leads completely covers at least one side of the corresponding contact holes in the longitudinal direction.

5. The liquid crystal display of claim 4, wherein the driving signal interconnection lines are formed on the same plane as the plurality of gate lines, and the plurality of contact holes are formed through the gate insulating layer and the protective layer.

6. The liquid crystal display of claim 4, wherein the driving signal interconnection lines are formed on the same plane as the plurality of data lines, and the plurality of contact holes are formed through the protective layer.

7. The liquid crystal display of claim 1, wherein the signal transmission film is a data signal transmission film including a data driving integrated circuit to receive data signals and send data signals to the plurality of data lines.

8. The liquid crystal of claim 7, further comprising a printed circuit board connected to the data signal transmission film, and to send the gate signals and the data signals to the gate driving integrated circuit and the data driving integrated circuit.
