1. An apparatus for introducing an intubation tube into a trachea, comprising:

  • a shaft having, a plurality of interlocked sections, each having an interlocking stop for inhibiting the sections from being separated from one another, a first coupler arranged at a distal end of said shaft, said first coupler provided for coupling to an intubation tube; and

    a second coupler arranged at a proximal end of said shaft for coupling to an endoscope, and wherein a length of said shaft is variable such that the intubation tube and the endoscope are axially movable relative to each other.
