1. A method for repairing a joint formed by at least two adjacent vertebrae, the method comprising:
- providing a biocompatible osteogenic band comprising bone having a first end and a second end, the osteogenic band comprising a plurality of braided or woven elongated sections of bone, and affixing said first end of the biocompatible osteogenic band to a first vertebra and affixing said second end to a second vertebra, the first and second vertebrae being identical to, or encompassing, the adjacent vertebrae, to maintain the joint formed by the adjacent vertebrae under tension.
