1. In a system for producing and dispensing a succession of identification bracelets, the combination comprising:

  • a plurality of elongated flexible bracelet strips each having a length sufficient to encompass an object to be identified, each of said strips further having upper and lower surfaces and first and second opposite extremities;

    an information storage area on each of said bracelet strips intermediate said first and second opposite extremities thereof for the receipt of identification information; and

    fabrication means including means for imparting identification information to the information storage area on each of said plurality of bracelet strips in succession;

    said fabrication means further including means for applying uncovered adhesive fastener means to one of said upper and lower surfaces generally at one of said first and second opposite extremities of each of said bracelet strips;

    said fabrication means further including means for dispensing said plurality of bracelet strips in succession with said identification information carried by said information storage area of each of said bracelet strips and with said uncovered adhesive fastener means exposed, for substantially immediate placement of each of said bracelet strips onto a respective object to be identified thereby, with said exposed adhesive fastener means being substantially immediately engageable with said other of said first and second opposite extremities for connecting said first and second opposite extremities in overlapping relation and to prevent separation thereof with said bracelet strip encircling the object to be identified.
