1. An applicator for dispensing a multicomponent biological adhesive, the applicator comprising:

  • a housing configured for operatively enclosing at least two self-contained collapsible reservoirs each having a sealable opening therein and storing at least one component of a multicomponent biological adhesive;

    a conduit assembly extending from said housing and having a pair of conduits in fluid communication with said housing; and

    an activator assembly provided on said housing having an activator moveable from a first position to a second position within the housing to decrease the volumetric capacity of said housing and substantially and simultaneously compress the at least two self-contained collapsible reservoirs at a proximal end and a distal end to dispense at least one component through at least one of said pair of conduits to a distal end thereof, wherein the activator moves along a direction substantially perpendicular to a direction of fluid flow of the at least one component within a major portion of at least one of said pair of conduits.
