wherein said step of receiving said one or more calendar entries comprises receiving said calendar entries from a host device.

a printer controller configured to access said calendar to determine a power mode for said printer, wherein said printer controller is operable to instruct said power supply controller to vary the amount of cower supplied to said at least one component in response to the power mode determination;
