Process for submitting and handling a service request in a local service management system
First Claim
1. A method for submitting a service request among a plurality of communication systems comprising the steps of:
- receiving a request generated by one of the plurality of communication systems, wherein the request provides transactional information;
translating the request into a protocol comprehendible by another one of the plurality of communication systems;
generating a modified request using business rules that govern execution of the request, wherein the modified request includes elements from a plurality of predetermined communication services, wherein the generating of the modified request comprises the step of decomposing the request elements into at least one component to be transferred to one of the plurality of communications systems, wherein the decomposing of the request elements further comprises the step of generating a status that is maintained within the component, wherein the status will determine a need for additional communication between said plurality of communication systems; and
processing the modified request by one of the plurality of communication systems.

Abstract
A process is provided for submitting a service request in a local service management system. A core telecommunication system is interfaced for receiving a core telecommunication system request from the core telecommunication system. Thereafter, such core telecommunication system request is translated to a predetermined protocol. The core telecommunication system request is then sent to a local service provider. Next, an order confirmation is received upon validation of the core telecommunication system request by the local service provider. The system request is processed by the local service provider. Further, a completion notification is received upon completion of a partitioning of the core telecommunication system request in a plurality of duties assigned to different local service providers.
