A capacitor structure comprising a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer and a multilayer dielectric structure disposed between the first and second conductive layers, wherein the multilayer dielectric structure comprises a first dielectric layer and a second dielectric layer, wherein at least one of the first dielectric layer and second dielectric layer comprises pores, wherein the pores have a mean pore size of 0.5 to 1000 nm and wherein the first and second dielectric layers are selected from the group consisting of ceramics, metal oxides and combinations thereof.
