1. A system for routing mobile special number calls in a telecommunication network;

  • the system comprising;

    (a) a mobile call originating station;

    said mobile call originating station originating a particular said special number call from a call locus;

    said mobile call originating station including a position determining unit;

    (b) a mobile switching station receiving said particular special number call;

    said mobile switching station assigning a temporary identifier for said mobile call originating station at least during said particular special number call;

    said temporary identifier comprising a temporary local directory number identifiable with said mobile call originating station and dialable to facilitate reaching said mobile call originating station;

    (c) a mobile geolocation system coupled with said mobile switching station;

    said mobile geolocation system cooperating with said mobile switching station to query said position determining unit for origination geographic information relating to said call locus;

    (d) a first georouter database coupled with said mobile switching station;

    said georouter database operative to perform a function of mapped routing; and

    (e) a special number call service station coupled with said mobile switching station;

    said particular special number call being routed to said special number call service station according to at least some of said origination geographic information;

    said special number call service station including an emergency services switch, a second georouter database, and an information store.
