Abstract
Disclosed are compositions that include triboelectrically chargeable nucleotide particles of less than 50 μm diameter and carrier particles. In one example, a substrate is selectively patterned with the compositions, e.g., by transfer from a selectively charged surface. The compositions can be used to synthesize nucleic acid arrays.

9. A method for transferring nucleotide particles from a surface to a substrate comprising:
-
providing a composition that comprises;
(a) chargeable particles of less than 50 microns diameter, the particles include a nucleotide compound that has a phosphoramidite group and a protecting group, and (b) chargeable carrier beads;
triboelectrically charging the nucleotide particles;
contacting the charged nucleotide particles to a selectively charged surface; and
transferring the nucleotide particles from the surface to a substrate. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13)
