Enhanced contrast projection screen
First Claim
1. A projection screen for displaying a projected image with enhanced contrast, comprising a display surface having a plurality of elements, where each element has an optical property that may be changed by applying an appropriate voltage to the element, where the display surface is configured to coordinate the optical property of each element with the projected image by selectively altering the optical property of each element according to the content of a projected image portion incident upon that element.
