1. A computer program product, tangibly stored on machine readable media, for managing customization, the product comprising instructions to cause a processor to:

  • access a customizable parameter collection that includes a collection of potentially-customizable parameters, each potentially-customizable parameter being associated with a first data object used by a first software module executing on a first computer system and being associated with a second data object used by second software module executing on a second computer system;

    identify a first computer system and a second computer system that are potentially impacted by a particular customizable parameter in the collection;

    retrieve a first settings of the particular customizable parameter from the first computer system and a second setting of the particular customizable parameter from the second computer system; and

    compare the first setting with the second setting, wherein the computer program product is located on a computer system other than the first computer system and the second computer system.
