Patent Images

1. A process intended to make it possible to obtain images by way of waves emitted by an antenna, after reflection of these waves at the level of a target-like assembly illuminated by the waves emitted and on the basis of which the images are extracted, said antenna, including an array alignment of wave emitter/receiver transducers comprising the steps of:

  • emitting a series of plane waves whose directions are different, various reception signals obtained in relation to a target point with given geometrical coordinates, being summed with amplitude and phase weightings which depend on this point in such a way as to consider there to be a re-phasing of the waves at the level of the point, as if these waves had been emitted simultaneously, and said reception signals being temporally staggered so that a forming of synthetic channels on emission is obtained.
