Wiper blade for motor vehicle windows
First Claim
1. A wiper blade for windshields of motor vehicles, comprising:
- an elongated, rubber-elastic wiper strip, which is placeable in contact against a windshield to be wiped;
an elongated, spring-elastic carrying element as a first component, wherein said wiper strip is held substantially parallel to and along a longitudinal axis of the carrying element;
a connection device provided on a center section of the carrying element as a second component for counter connection means loaded on the windshield of a driven wiper arm, whereby the connection device has two contact surfaces, wherein said contact surfaces are spaced from one another and run parallel to one another and transversely to a driving direction, said contact surfaces oriented in vertical planes on the carrying element, wherein said contact surfaces being cooperatable with counter contact surfaces of the wiper arm, wherein one of the first and second components connected to one another is provided with elastic, deflectable locking means, wherein said locking means cooperates with counter locking means of the other of the first and second components, such that the first and second components are locked together, and wherein the locking means of the connection device has at least one thickening with surfaces facing a longitudinal direction of the carrying element, wherein said surfaces form retaining shoulders, and wherein counter retaining shoulders facing toward the retaining shoulders are formed on edges of at least one recess of the carrying element.

Abstract
A proposed wiper blade serves to clean the windshields of motor vehicles. The wiper blade (10) has an elongated rubber-elastic wiping strip which can be placed in contact against the windshield to be wiped and which is held substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis at an elongated, springing-elastic carrying element (12). A connection device (16) for complementing connection means of a driven wiper arm (18) which are loaded toward the windshield is arranged at the center portion of the carrying element (12). The connection device has two stop surfaces (36) which are located at a distance from one another, extend transverse to the driving direction, are parallel to one another and oriented in planes extending vertical to the windshield, and cooperate with counter-stops of the wiper arm. A problem-free and economical arrangement of the connection device at the carrying element is carried out in that one of the two structural component parts (12 or 16) which are connected with one another is provided with elastically deflectable catch means which cooperate with the complementing catch means of the other structural component part (16 or 12) in such a way that the two structural component parts are locked together.
