Abstract

A biosensor comprises a space part for sucking and housing a sample formed of two upper and lower plates, the two plates being stuck together by an adhesive layer, the space part for sucking and housing the sample being constituted so as to be partially opened in the peripheral part and partially closed by the adhesive layer, and has a working electrode having at least glucose oxidase immobilized thereon and a counter electrode on the same plane of the plate.

Claims

1. A biosensor device which comprises a device body having a connector part and a control part including a display part, the connector part having input terminals, and a reaction sensor member having a working electrode and a counter electrode which is to be inserted into the connector part of the device body in such a manner as to be attachable and detachable, the reaction sensor member having an output terminal of the working electrode and an output terminal of the counter electrode that are electrically connected to a first two of the input terminals of the connector part when the reaction sensor member is inserted into the connector part of the device body, and wherein a reaction part is formed on at least the working electrode, the reaction sensor member further having a sensor insertion signal terminal, the connector part of the device body having a second two input terminals, wherein the sensor insertion signal terminal has an output terminal which makes contact with the second two input terminals of the connector part, so that the control part including the display part of the device body is started when the output terminal of the sensor insertion signal terminal comes in contact with the second two input terminals.

The biosensor device according to claim 1, further comprising a control part which judges sucking of a sample to be measured by a signal for laying the working electrode and the counter electrode into closed circuit by the sucking of the sample to the reaction part, starts to count residual time up to a preset measurement end, transmits a count signal to the display part and displays it.

3. The biosensor device according to claim 1, wherein the working electrode and the counter electrode are placed along a common plane in relation to the reaction sensor member.

4. The biosensor device according to claim 1, wherein the reaction part is formed as a layer made of an oxidoreductase and an electron transmitter.

5. The biosensor device according to claim 4, wherein the oxidoreductase is glucose oxidase.

6. The biosensor device according to claim 4, wherein the electron transmitter is potassium ferricyaflide.

7. The biosensor device according to claim 1, wherein a sample to be measured is sucked onto the reaction part in a state where a voltage is applied between the working electrode and the counter electrode after the sensor insertion, and a current value is generated by oxidation.

8. The biosensor device according to claim 1, wherein the control part also includes a current voltage converting circuit, an amplifying circuit and an arithmetic part.

A biosensor device which comprises a device body having a display part and a connector part, the connector part having input terminals, and a reaction sensor member, which is to be inserted into the connector part of the device body in such a manner as to be attachable and detachable, the reaction sensor member having an output terminal of a working electrode electrically connected to a first input terminal of the connector part and an output terminal of a counter electrode electrically connected to a second input terminal of the connector part when the reaction sensor member is inserted into the connector part of the device body, and wherein a reaction part is formed on at least a working electrode, the reaction sensor member further having a sensor insertion signal terminal laid in an electrically insulated state from the output terminals, the connector part of the device body having third and fourth input terminals, wherein the sensor insertion signal terminal makes contact with the third and fourth input terminals of the connector part, so that the display part of the device body is started when the sensor insertion judging electrode becomes in contact with the third and fourth input terminals.

10. The biosensor device according to claim 9, wherein the reaction part is formed as a layer made of an oxidoreductase and an electron transmitter in mixture.

11. The biosensor device according to claim 10, wherein the reaction part includes glucose oxidase.

12. The biosensor device according to claim 10, wherein the reaction part includes potassium ferricyanide.

13. The biosensor device according to claim 9, wherein the device body includes a control part.

14. The biosensor device of claim 13, wherein the control part includes the display part.

15. The biosensor device according to claim 9, wherein the working electrode and, the counter electrode are placed along a common plane in relation to the reaction sensor member.

16. A biosensor device which comprises a device body having a display part and a connector part, the connector part having input terminals, and a reaction sensor member which is to be inserted into the connector part of the device body in such a manner as to be attachable and detachable, the reaction sensor member having an output terminal of a working electrode and an output terminal of a counter electrode so as to be electrically connected to the input terminals of the connector part when the reaction sensor member is inserted into the connector part of the device body, and wherein a reaction part is formed on at least the working electrode, the reaction sensor member further having a sensor insertion signal terminal laid in an electrically insulated state from the output terminals, wherein the sensor insertion signal terminal has an output terminal which makes contact with the input terminals of the connector part, so that the display part of the device body is started when the output terminal of the sensor insertion signal terminal becomes in contact with the input terminals of the device body.

17. The biosensor device according to claim 16, wherein the reaction sensor member is rectangular in shape.

18. The biosensor device according to claim 16, wherein the reaction part includes glucose oxidase.

19. The biosensor device according to claim 18, wherein the reaction part includes potassium ferricyanide.

20. The biosensor device according to claim 16, wherein the reaction sensor member is disposable.

21. The biosensor device according to claim 18, wherein the device body includes a control part.

22. The biosensor device of claim 21, wherein the control part includes the display part.

23. The biosensor device of claim 21, wherein the control part includes a central processing unit.

24. The biosensor device according to claim 18, wherein the display part includes a liquid crystal display.

25. The biosensor device according to claim 16, wherein the working electrode and the counter electrode are placed along a common plane in relation to the reaction sensor member.

26. A biosensor device which comprises a device body having a power supply circuit, a display part and a connector part, the connector part having input terminals, and a sensor which is to be inserted into the connector part of the device body, the sensor having an output terminal of a working electrode and an output terminal of a counter electrode electrically connected to the input terminals of the connector part when the sensor is inserted into the connector part of the device body, the sensor further having a sensor insertion signal terminal, and wherein the sensor insertion signal terminal has an output terminal which makes contact with the input terminals of the connector part, so that the display part of the device body is electrically connected with the power supply circuit when the output terminal of the sensor insertion signal terminal comes in contact with the two input terminals.

27. The biosensor device according to claim 26, wherein a reaction part is formed on at least the working electrode, and the reaction part includes an oxidoreductase and an electron mediator.

28. The biosensor device according to claim 27, wherein the oxidoreductase is glucose oxidase and the electron mediator is potassium ferricyanide.

29. A biosensor device which comprises a device body having a power supply circuit, a display part and a connector part, the connector part having input terminals, and a sensor which is to be inserted into the connector part of the device body, the sensor having an output terminal of a working electrode and an output terminal of a counter electrode electrically connected to a first two input terminals of the connector part when the sensor is inserted into the connector part of the device body, the sensor further having a sensor insertion signal terminal, and wherein the sensor insertion signal terminal has an output terminal which makes contact with a second two input terminals of the connector part, so that the display part of the device body is electrically connected with the power supply circuit when the output terminal of the sensor insertion signal terminal comes in contact with the second two input terminals.
