1. A stretch releasable adhesive article, comprising:

  • (a) an extensible backing having an elongation at break of at least about 50%, said backing including first and second opposed major surfaces, a first end portion and a second end portion;

    (b) a first adhesive region of permanent pressure sensitive adhesive provided on said backing first end portion first major surface;

    (c) a support layer having opposed first and second major surfaces, said support layer second major surface arranged along said backing second end portion first major surface; and

    (d) a second adhesive region of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive provided on at least a portion of said support layer first major surface;

    wherein the flexural strength of said backing is less than the flexural strength of said support.
