1. A process for making a film comprising:

  • a) providing a visible light-transmissive support, b) forming a visible light-transmissive first metal or metal alloy layer atop the support, c) forming an organic spacing layer atop the first metal or metal alloy layer, d) crosslinking the spacing layer, and e) forming a visible light-transmissive second metal or metal alloy layer atop the organic spacing layer, whereby the thicknesses of the first and second metal or metal alloy layers and the crosslinked spacing layer are such that the film is extensible visible light-transmissive and infrared-reflective.
