1. A method for wireless transmission of RS232 signaling information comprising:

  • transmitting RS232 signals over a first RS232 serial interface to a first wireless modem operatively connected to the first RS232 serial data interface;

    receiving the RS232 signals over the first RS232 serial data interface;

    decoding the RS232 signals received over the first RS232 serial data interface into RS232 signaling information and converting the RS232 signaling information to a format compatible with wireless transmission;

    transmitting the RS232 signaling information by the first modem to a second wireless modem;

    receiving the RS232 signaling information from the first modem by the second wireless modem, said second modem being operatively connected to a second serial interface;

    decoding the RS232 signaling information received from the first wireless modem by the second wireless modem into RS232 signals; and

    transmitting the RS232 signals to the second serial interface over a second RS232 serial data interface.
