1. A hospital bed comprising:
- a frame;
a plurality of casters supporting the frame;
a patient support surface coupled to the frame, the patient support surface having a first end, a second end, and opposing first and second sides each extending between the first end and the second end;
a first push handle positioned adjacent the first end and the first side of the patient support surface;
a first grip portion coupled to the first push handle;
a second push handle positioned adjacent the first end and the second side of the patient support surface;
a second grip portion coupled to the second push handle;
a first coupler configured to removably and to operably couple the first push handle to the frame and to lock the first push handle relative to the frame, in one of a plurality of discretely spaced positions such that the first grip portion is supported for pivoting movement about a vertical first axis of rotation to permit a caregiver to apply a moving force to the frame;
a second coupler configured to operably couple the second push handle to the frame such that the second grip portion is positioned to permit a caregiver to apply a moving force to the frame; and
an accessory coupled to the first push handle.
