Method for manipulating dosage control apparatus
First Claim
1. A method for controlling the flow rate of a treatment solution, the method comprising:
- producing an initial electric pulse;
inducing a magnetic field with a coil using the initial electric pulse;
motivating two armatures, using the magnetic field, to move from a closed position against the force of at least one spring whereby a path for fluid flow is provided; and
providing a subsequent set of electric pulses, the subsequent set of electric pulses maintaining the magnetic field above a threshold below which the armatures return to the closed position.

Abstract
The invention is directed to a method and circuitry for controlling dosage rates of a treatment solution. An electric pulse is directed through a coil, inducing a magnetic field and causing a valve to open. A subsequent set of pulses is directed through the coil to maintain the position of the valve. Between pulses, the coil motivates current to flow. Energy associated with the current is captured in a collection circuitry. The method and circuitry may also interpret a signal induced in the coil by an externally applied magnetic field such as that produced by an MIR. The method and circuitry may provide an electric signal to counteract the externally applied magnetic field or to produce a degaussing field.

10. A method for controlling the flow rate of a treatment solution, the method comprising:
-
determining a flow rate of a treatment solution in compliance with a prescribed dosage; producing an initial electric pulse; inducing a magnetic field with a coil with the initial electric pulse; motivating two armatures to move from a closed position against the force of at least one spring whereby a path for fluid flow is provided; providing a subsequent set of electric pulses, the subsequent set of electric pulses maintaining the magnetic field above a threshold below which the armatures return to the closed position; and collecting energy from current produced by inductance in the coil during periods between pulses of the subsequent set of pulses. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16)

17. A circuitry for controlling the flow of at least one treatment solution, the circuitry comprising:
-
a power source; a first switch coupled to the positive node of the power source; a second switch coupled to the negative node of the power source; and a coil associated with a valve associated with an implantable dosage control system, a first connection of the coil electrically coupled to the first switch and a second connection of the coil electrically coupled to the second switch, the coil inducing a magnetic field that opens the valve when the first and second switch are activated. - View Dependent Claims (18, 19, 20)
