1. A method of processing a first description of a file or registry system of a device, the first description comprising a plurality of elements, the method comprising:
- creating at least one first element of the first description in a first storage;
storing the at least one first element in a second storage, the second storage being nonvolatile and having a second speed slower than a first speed of the first storage;
creating at least one second element of the first description in the first storage; and
storing the at least one second element in the second storage,wherein at the completion of creating the at least one second element in the first storage, at least a portion of the at least one first element no longer resides in the first storage.
