1. A coin sorting apparatus comprising:
- a stationary member provided with a central coin-feed opening; and
a rotary disk supported for rotation, disposed under the stationary member closely adjacent to the lower surface of the stationary member, and having a disk body and a resilient member attached to an upper surface of the disk body;
the coin sorting apparatus being constructed such that coins fed into the coin-feed opening of the stationary member slide along the lower surface of the stationary member as the rotary disk rotates,wherein the stationary member is provided with guide structures for selectively guiding coins sliding along the lower surface thereof, according to their diameters, andthe resilient member of the rotary disk has a urethane rubber layer having a surface provided with a plurality of radial grooves.

Abstract
A coin sorting apparatus includes a stationary member and a rotary disk member arranged under the stationary member. The stationary member has a guide structure for guiding coins, and the guide structure includes a coin passage and at least one coin-sorting guide. Each coin-storing guide has a step arranged so that a peripheral portion of a coin having a diameter greater than a reference diameter runs up onto the step.

13. A coin sorting apparatus comprising:

a stationary member having a central coin-feed opening; and a rotary disk operable to rotate and arranged under said stationary member so as to be adjacent to a lower surface of said stationary member, said stationary member and said rotary disk being arranged so that coins fed into said coin-feed opening of said stationary member slide along said lower surface of said stationary member as said rotary disk rotates, said stationary member having a guide structure for selectively guiding coins sliding along said lower surface thereof based on diameters of the coins, said guide structure comprising; a coin passage in said lower surface of the stationary member, said coin passage having a radial inner edge for engaging outer edges of the coins; and at least one coin-sorting guide in said lower surface of the stationary member, each of said at least one coin-sorting guide having; a step at a radial outer edge of said coin passage and arranged so that a peripheral part of a coin having a diameter greater than a reference diameter runs up onto said step while an outer edge opposite the peripheral part of the coin engages said radial inner edge of said coin passage; and an ejecting passage for guiding the coin run up onto said step away from said coin passage and for ejecting the coin outside of said stationary member. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25)
