1. A method of sealing an opening in a blood vessel or other biological structure, comprising:

  • delivering an elongate body through the opening;

    actuating an arm from a first position wherein said arm is within said body to a second position wherein said arm is extended away from said body, said arm holding a portion of a suture;

    advancing a needle in a proximal to distal direction along at least a portion of said elongate body toward the arm, the needle being advanced through tissue;

    engaging a portion of the needle with the portion of the suture; and

    retracting the needle in a distal to proximal direction to draw the suture through the tissue.
