1. A display for providing information relating to an object relative to the display, the display comprising:
- a plurality of pixels; and
a plurality of light sensors, wherein an individual light sensor of the plurality of light sensors is provided near an individual pixel of the plurality of pixels, and wherein an individual light sensor of the plurality of light sensors is configured to detect light that is not visible to the human eye, the detected light originating from a display light source, the display light source used to light the display;
wherein the information relating to the object relative to the display may be provided by correlating the amount of detected light from the plurality of light sensors to the information relating to the object.

An individual light sensor of the plurality of light sensors is provided near an individual pixel of the plurality of pixels. An individual light sensor of the plurality of light sensors is configured to detect light. The information relating to the object relative to the display may be provided by correlating the amount of detected light from the plurality of light sensors to the information relating to the object.

24. A method of detecting information relating to an object near a screen, the screen having a plurality of pixels and a plurality of light sensors, the method comprising:

tuning the plurality of light sensors to a specific range of wavelengths of light, the specific range being a range of non-visible light; receiving data corresponding to levels of light from the plurality of light sensors, wherein an individual light sensor is provided near an individual pixel, the received light originating from a display light source, the display light source used to light the display; and correlating the information relating to the object near the screen to the received data. - View Dependent Claims (25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30)
