1. A computer-implemented method of analyzing golf performance, said method comprising:

  • providing a database that is organized for recording player golf performance data, wherein the database is implemented to include a category for shot skill events and include skill subcategories for the events;

    receiving golf performance and score data into the database for multiple rounds of golf played by a particular golf player to record that player'"'"'s personal past performance in the shot skill event category and skill subcategories;

    applying statistical analysis to the golf player'"'"'s recorded data to generate one or more performance statistics from the golf player'"'"'s recorded data;

    providing an interface with which the golf player can interact to request computerized assistance with improving the golf player'"'"'s game;

    in response to the golf player interacting with the interface, displaying information that identifies a particular improvement for that golf player and displays how many shots per round the golf player'"'"'s score will be improved in order to provide a tool to golfers for evaluating relative improvements in a player'"'"'s personal game that can be made by achieving different improvements, wherein the improvement in the number of shots is generated in accordance with one or more performance statistics.
