1. A method for actively dampening driveline oscillations comprising a motor torque output driven by an electric machine in a motor vehicle having an antilock brake system comprising the steps of:

  • providing a motor torque output during a drive operation via the electric machine to drive at least two drive wheels on a motor vehicle; and

continuously controlling the motor torque output via a motor torque signal to effectively dampen driveline oscillations comprising the motor torque output during an antilock brake system operation that occurs when the antilock brake system is active at at least one of the at least two drive wheels.
