1. A method for providing electromagnetic biostimulation and cytoprotection to tissue comprising:
- providing an apparatus comprising (i) a source of electromagnetic radiation;
(ii) relay optics operatively connected to the source of electromagnetic radiation for transmitting electromagnetic radiation and biostimulating tissue;
(iii) an echo imaging device for producing an ultrasonic image of the tissue; and
(iv) control circuitry for controlling the electromagnetic radiation;
biostimulating the tissue by transmitting electromagnetic radiation to the tissue through the relay optics; and
controlling the electromagnetic radiation with the control circuitry in order to provide cytoprotection to the tissue.
