1. A method for creating a counterfeit-resistant optical disk, comprising:

  • positioning a security device in an optical disk mold, wherein the security device includes a spacing device attached to a surface of the security device such that the security device is prevented from being embedded flush with a surface of the formed optical disk;

    closing the optical disk mold; and

    forming an optical disk in the optical disk mold, thereby embedding the security device in the formed optical disk.
