1. A method for treating tissue of trabecular meshwork of an eye by directing a liquid flow through the trabecular meshwork in an opposite direction of a physiological aqueous outflow pathway, the method comprising:
- contacting the trabecular meshwork with a distal end of an elongate tubular member;
applying suction to a surface of the trabecular meshwork through a lumen in said elongate tubular member;
flowing fluid into Schlemm'"'"'s canal of the eye through an end of an elongate body, said end of the elongate body being positioned in Schlemm'"'"'s canal; and
aspirating said fluid from Schlemm'"'"'s canal through said elongate tubular member.
