Inkjet printhead having inkjet nozzle arrangements incorporating lever mechanisms
First Claim
1. An inkjet printhead that comprises:
- a substrate defining a plurality of ink supply channels;
drive circuitry positioned on the substrate;
a plurality of nozzle arrangements positioned on the substrate, each nozzle arrangement comprisinga static structure mounted on the substrate and a dynamic structure in co-operative arrangement with the static structure, the dynamic and static structures defining a nozzle chamber in fluid communication with a respective ink supply channel, the dynamic structure defining an ink ejection port and which can move with respect to the static structure to reduce the volume of the chamber so that ink is ejected from the port; and
an elongate actuator connected to the dynamic structure and configured so that an end of the actuator is displaced towards the substrate on receipt of an electrical signal from the drive circuitry, the elongate actuator being fast with the substrate at a position intermediate the dynamic structure and said end of the actuator, to define a lever structure.

Abstract
An inkjet printhead includes a substrate that defines a plurality of ink supply channels. Drive circuitry is positioned on the substrate. A plurality of nozzle arrangements is positioned on the substrate. Each nozzle arrangement has a static structure mounted on the substrate and a dynamic structure in co-operative arrangement with the static structure. The dynamic and static structures define a nozzle chamber in fluid communication with a respective ink supply channel. The dynamic structure defines an ink ejection port which can move with respect to the static structure to reduce the volume of the chamber so that ink is ejected from the port. An elongate actuator is connected to the dynamic structure and configured so that an end of the actuator is displaced towards the substrate on receipt of an electrical signal from the drive circuitry. The elongate actuator is fast with the substrate at a position intermediate the dynamic structure and said end of the actuator, to define a lever structure.
