1. A computer program product comprising a computer usable medium having computer readable program code embodied in the computer usable medium that, when executed, causes a computer to:

  • demultiplex a coded input signal into coded picture data for discriminating a picture between an object and a background surrounding the object, and into reduction ratio setting information for reducing an amount of generated codes of the picture data, the reduction ratio setting information indicating a conversion ratio of 1, 1/2, or 1/4;

    decode the coded picture data to output a decoded picture signal; and

    enlarge the decoded picture signal in accordance with the reduction ratio setting information to generate an enlarged picture signal.
