1. A rotating electric machine for a vehicle, comprising:

  • a stator;

    a rotor held rotatably inside said stator;

    wherein,said stator comprises a stator core and stator windings;

    said stator windings comprise three-phase windings which are wound on said stator core;

    said rotor comprises a rotor core and a plurality of permanent magnets embedded beneath the surface of said rotor core;

    a plurality of auxiliary magnetic pole areas are formed in said rotor core, and are disposed along a circumferential direction of said rotor core;

    said permanent magnets are arranged between said auxiliary magnetic pole areas, with permanent magnets which are located on circumferentially opposite sides of said auxiliary magnetic pole areas having different polarities; and

    a reluctance torque is generated at said auxiliary magnetic pole areas based on a magnetomotive force which is generated by three phase current flowing through said stator windings.
